At its core, the 1006 features a classic voltage controlled 24 dB per octave low pass filter built around a matched transistor ladder design, followed by a matched transistor VCA that delivers that sought-after vintage sound. The filter section includes frequency and resonance controls – with the resonance capable of self-oscillation – plus three summed CV inputs, each with independent attenuators for maximum flexibility. The two filter signal inputs also come with dedicated attenuators, effectively functioning as an input mixer.

The VCA section provides comprehensive control with an amplifier gain control that sums with the CV inputs, an exponential or linear response switch, and two summed CV inputs with their own attenuators. This extensive control set allows precise sound shaping across all parameters. Connectivity is thorough, featuring Inputs A and B for filter signals, Keyboard CV input for filter cutoff control, CV1 and CV2 inputs for both filter frequency and VCA control or modulation, plus four onboard CV attenuators and a VCA output for routing your processed signal to other modules.
