This polycarbonate cover shields the Sequential Take 5 and Oberheim TEO–5 desktop synthesizers from dust, liquid spills, and impact damage during transport or storage. Manufactured from injection–moulded polycarbonate with a smoked transparent finish, the cover fits precisely over the control panel and keyboard, leaving no gaps that might allow particulate ingress. At 3mm thickness, the material resists cracking under compression while remaining light enough to handle without removing knobs or sliders.

The cover's dimensions follow the exact footprint of both synth models, with recessed areas accommodating the pitch and mod wheels without requiring removal. Polycarbonate was chosen for its high impact resistance and UV stability, preventing yellowing over time when exposed to studio lighting. Four corner relief points distribute load away from vulnerable encoders and switches. The material maintains rigidity across a temperature range of –40°C to 130°C, suitable for touring environments where gear moves between climate–controlled venues and cold transport vehicles.
