The Mackie VLZ4 series represents over 25 years of mixer innovation, now enhanced with the company's flagship Onyx mic preamps for uncompromising professional audio performance. This 24-channel 4-bus mixer combines Mackie's signature high-headroom/low-noise design with “Built-Like-A-Tank” construction, featuring 20 boutique-quality Onyx mic preamps with an ultra-wide 60dB gain range and exceptional 128.5 dB dynamic range. The unit handles +22 dBu line inputs with distortion under 0.0007% across 20Hz – 50kHz, while improved RF rejection makes it ideal for broadcast applications.

Professional features include dedicated inline channel compression on channels 17-20, plus 4 subgroups with their own inline compressors for complete dynamic control. The mixer provides 6 aux sends with inserts and pre/post fader options, alongside dual 32-bit RMFX+™ processors loaded with 24 “Gig Ready” reverbs, choruses and tap delays. Each of the 20 high-headroom line inputs includes dedicated inserts, 3-band EQ with sweepable midrange, and an 18 dB/oct 100Hz low-cut filter on mic channels.
