Description

Mackie's Thump15SV4 is a 15″ powered subwoofer engineered to inject serious low–end authority into portable PA rigs. The unit pairs a 1400W Class–D amplifier with a high–performance 15″ woofer, delivering 132 dB maximum SPL and reaching down to 27 Hz. Built to withstand the rigours of gigging whilst remaining manageably compact at 26 kg, it's designed as a no–compromise foundation for frequency–critical applications.

The Thump15SV4's architecture centres on selectable high–pass crossover modes tailored to Mackie's own Thump v4 loudspeaker range: Thump 12 (140 Hz), Thump 15 (110 Hz), Thump GO (150 Hz), and a Variable mode for manual adjustment to third–party speakers. All modes include 1.4 ms alignment delay to synchronise phase relationships. Connectivity comprises stereo XLR inputs, high–pass XLR outputs to loudspeakers, and full–range XLR outputs for daisy–chaining additional subs. Construction features built–in handles, M20 thread for optional speaker pole mounting, and rugged industrial finishing.

The subwoofer accommodates mono or stereo summing, permitting either single–unit deployment or dual–sub configurations for larger venues. Variable level control ranges from muted to +6 dB, whilst a phase invert switch addresses potential cancellation when blending multiple subs. An defeatable front LED aids stage darkness management.
