The Motorola RDU4160d Business On-Site Two Way Radio is from the RDX series of elite business radios by Motorola. Equipped with superior audio quality to combat the loudest of environments, the RDU4160d is 30 percent louder than previous models from the XTN and AX series. This powerhouse is packed with 4 watts of output power, 89 business-exclusive UHF frequencies, 16 channels, and has a coverage area up to 350,000 sq. ft or 30 indoor floors. An estimated battery life up to 18.5 hours means this two way radio was built to last until the end of the business day.

The RDU4160d is the display version of the RDU4100 Motorola model. It is easy to use with it’s backlit display and front panel programming allowing for up to 5 programmable buttons and quick navigation through it’s options. The RDU4160d comes with a single desktop charger, belt clip, and lithium-ion rechargeable battery. With this efficient battery, you can expect a faster charging time, higher energy density, and very small memory effect (when NiCd and NiMH batteries are repeatedly partially charged resulting in a smaller charge capacity). 

CPS software (Customer Programming Software) allows for you to personally program your radios, giving you the ability to customize user features and configure channels and frequencies. The RDX CPS cable is required to connect your RDX series radio to your PC. Motorola offers the free download of the software from their website. 

In heavy use occupations where there is a central equipment area, multiple charging bases for 12 RDU4160d two way radios doesn’t seem practical.
